Taymar Sales U. Starts Sponsorship Divison, Names Cole to Lead

Winston-Salem, North Carolina – Taymar Sales U. Founder/CEO Mark Dyer today announced the creation of a Sponsorship/Multi-Media division to complement the company’s ticket sales and operations capabilities. The company has hired industry veteran Jon Cole to head up the division as corporate Vice President.

“Now is the perfect time to do this,” said Dyer. “We have built a great foundation at Taymar over four years in ticket sales and operations and we have current and prospective clients asking us about our capabilities in sponsorship. I came up through this business on the sponsorship side and I’m excited about offering our same ‘True Cost’ business model to the marketplace.”

Cole is a veteran revenue generation and leadership professional with decades of experience in the collegiate multi-media industry. Dyer and Cole’s association goes back to Dyer’s days running the Sponsorship/Multi-Media division of Host Communications when Host acquired the rights to Auburn and Cole joined the team as an account executive. Cole rose through the ranks at Host Communications, ISP and IMG College to his most recent position as a regional VP for Learfield.

“Jon’s done it all in this business,” said Dyer of Cole, who is an Auburn University graduate. “He and I have worked as general managers at the school level, producing radio and TV and selling and servicing clients. Jon has recruited many stars in this business and helped guide them to remarkable accomplishments.”

At Taymar, Cole will report to President Joe Rickert.

“As we continue our rapid growth as a company, we remain steadfast in serving our clients at the highest level in all areas of revenue generation,” said Rickert. “Jon is a proven leader who reflects our mission statement of Clients & Colleagues, and he’s the perfect person to round out our senior leadership team and build out our Sponsorship offering at Taymar Sales U.”

“I’m thrilled to be joining Taymar as the company continues to grow and evolve,” said Cole. “I’ve known Mark for many years and have long admired his entrepreneurial, no-nonsense approach to business. I look forward to applying my decades of experience in the collegiate revenue generation ecosystem and helping grow the business for Taymar.”
