DIRECTOR OF MEMBERSHIP & TICKET SALES

Ellie Mackay attended Michigan Technological University in Michigan's Upper Peninsula where she graduated with a B.S. degree in marketing. She also received a master's degree in business administration. Ellie was a member of the women's basketball team while at Michigan Tech. During her tenure, she was named an All American, finished her career as the second all-time leading scorer in MTU women's basketball history, and holds the career free throw percentage record. Ellie gained additional experience in the sports industry while working for Horner Sports Flooring in the marketing department. Horner Sports Flooring is the leading manufacturer of game floors for the NCAA, NBA, and WNBA. Ellie enjoys hiking, golfing, fishing, and spending time with family. Ellie started with Taymar at UConn as an account executive, then annual fund officer, now has been being promoted to Director for the WBCA.

DIRECTOR OF SPONSORSHIP

Talisa Samano comes to Taymar/WBCA after serving as Senior Sales Manager of Strategic Partnerships at HEI Hospitality, where she led partnership initiatives and managed key accounts. She previously worked with Temple University women’s basketball in operations and student‑athlete development. Talisa is a Temple alum with degrees in communications and executive sport business and began her career as a student manager under Dawn Staley and Tonya Cardoza.
