Moon Township, Pa. – The Robert Morris University Department of Athletics announced Monday a partnership with Taymar Sales U., a college sports marketing company focused on driving new revenue for athletic departments that own and operate collegiate sporting events.
“RMU Athletics is excited to partner with Taymar Sales U., and we see this as a great opportunity to partner with the fastest growing ticket sales company in our industry,” Vice President and Director of Athletics Chris King said. “Taymar Sales U. shares our vision for the advancement of our basketball, hockey and football ticket sales operation and are committed to developing an extensive ticket marketing, sales and service plan. We live in a dynamic sports region, and partnering with Taymar Sales U. positions RMU Athletics to continue to serve our season ticket patrons and to make new connections in one of the country’s most passionate sports cities. We look forward to our partnership with Mark Dyer and the entire team at Taymar.”
Taymar Sales U. utilizes a partner-centric model, allowing for an open, creative and collaborative approach between the vendor and athletics department to help build ticket sales and attendance. Taymar Sales U. clients include Georgia State, Georgia Southern, Kentucky, LSU, North Texas, and Tulane.
“Chris King is bringing energy, vision and a genuine love for his alma mater and area to RMU,” said Taymar Sales U. founder & CEO Mark Dyer. “Our timing is great, with the opening of the UPMC Events Center and Chris arriving as athletics director. We believe there are significant opportunities beyond men’s and women’s basketball, as well.”
Taymar Sales U. will also team with the RMU Sport Management program to create an internship.
“We’re also excited to establish the RMU Athletics/Taymar Sales U. internship with the RMU Sport Management program,” Dyer said. “RMU has one of the top programs in the country, and we believe this will be a prestigious honor for a deserving student. Our goal is to give students the tools and practical experience to launch their careers in sports, and hopefully sports ticket sales.”
