Houghton attended Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia where he was a student-athlete on the Tennis Team. He began his career in ticket sales at Wake Forest University before moving to South Carolina to work for the Greenville Drive, an affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, for 6 seasons. Houghton enjoys golfing, pickleball, and skiing.
Fun Fact: My Great-Uncle was at one point the Washington Commanders all-time career scoring leader as a Running Back/Kicker in the 1940s.
